Intospace® delivers new innovative distribution centre for Swedish fashion brand NA-KD in Duiven and celebrates start of operations together

Duiven, 1 November 2023 –  Logistics real estate developer intospace® today delivered the third and final building for Swedish fashion brand NA-KD, located at Toekomst in Duiven. The leading and sustainable complex of three connected buildings was developed for tenant NA-KD, and internally equipped with advanced robotization, enabling NA-KD to swiftly and flawlessly dispatch orders from this location. The distribution centre offers a challenging working environment for high-quality and complex logistics for approximately 150 employees. The construction was handled by Aannemingsbedrijf Wouters Schijndel.

A sustainable design

The total distribution centre comprises approximately 45,000 sqm of warehouse space, around 7,500 sqm of mezzanine space, around 4,500 sqm of office space and approximately 400 parking spaces. The building is equipped with a green facade of more than 200 metres, parallel to the A12 motorway. In collaboration with landscape architect Grasveld, a green façade was designed not only to provide an appealing appearance, but also through careful plant selection, to make a positive contribution to the biodiversity in the surrounding area. Additionally, green areas were created surrounding the building, with over a hundred newly planted trees. The primary objective of this project was to create a pleasant working environment for NA-KD and Logent employees, while making a positive impact to the environment. The building features ample natural light and includes recreational spaces, such as a stunning rooftop terrace.

By planting the first tree on October 18, 2022, NA-KD and Intospace® underscored their shared commitment to sustainability. Over the next few months, the warehouse roof will be fully equipped with solar panels, allowing the building to generate significantly more energy than it consumes, making it energy-positive. The project was developed according to the BREEAM Excellent standard, meeting the highest sustainability criteria.

Start operations NA-KD

NA-KD, an online women’s fashion brand for women aged between 18 and 35, is one of the fastest growing fashion companies in Europe. From  their location in Duiven, NA-KD will supply the European market. The distribution centre is equipped with an Autostore system: a goods to person automation system that utilizes robots to bring the goods to a packing station, which allows for a sustainable and efficient picking- and packing process.

Logistics service provider Logent is NA-KD’s partner in Duiven. Logent, originally a Swedish company,  is entering the Dutch market through this operation. Logent also handles the logistics operation for NA-KD in Landskrona, Sweden, and specializes in e-commerce logistics.

With the start of the operation in Duiven and the completion of the third and final building, intospace® and NA-KD conclude a successful project. Together, they both look back on a very successful collaboration and celebrate the beginning of a long-term and future-proof relationship.
