Mixed-use logistics real estate
23 September, 2026Space is scare. But lack of space is not the whole story. The way we use our space is also a choice.
Today, we attended the Logistics Real Estate Netherlandse 2026 event hosted by SPRYG Real Estate Academy, where our CEO, Tim Beckmann, deliverd a presentation on mixed-use logistics real estate and the opportunities created by multifunctional use of space.
This concept is far from new. In cities such as Rome, living, working, trade and other functions have been intertwined for centuries. In the Netherlands, however, we have largely chosen to separate these functions over the past decades.
Today, we are once again exploring how these functions can reinforce one another. Not by simply combining everything in one place, but by critically assessing which function creates the most value in a specific location and how it can be integrated most effectively.
Because perhaps the question is not only how much space we have, but above all how we choose to use it.
A valuable discussion on the future of logistics real estate, area development, and the way we manage and utilize the limited space available in the Netherlands.
Many thanks to SPRYG Real Estate Academy for an inspiring event and for facilitating the conversation around these important developments.
